Drone Recovered from Field Near LoC in Poonch
Mendhar/Jammu: A drone was recovered from a field in the Sakhi Maidan village of Mendhar sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Tuesday, officials said.
According to officials, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the local police retrieved the drone from the area, which lies about six kilometres in aerial distance from the Line of Control (LoC).
The recovery followed reports of a drone-like object spotted in an open field, prompting the SOG team to rush to the site.
The drone has been seized, and police have launched an investigation to trace its origin and purpose, officials added.
