Bollywood mourns the loss of veteran actor Satish Shah

Mumbai: The film industry is in mourning after the sudden demise of veteran actor Satish Shah, whose wit and warmth left an indelible mark on both cinema and television. Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to express their grief and pay heartfelt tributes to the beloved actor.

R. Madhavan shared an emotional note:

“The heavens will be a merrier and happier place now. Satish Ji, you’ll make the Gods laugh as they admire their own creation. Thank you for being such a solid wind beneath my wings early in my career — for believing in me and pushing me forward. You will be deeply missed, Satish Ji… a void that can never be filled. Rest in eternal peace as we try to carry on without you. Om Shanti.”

Kajol remembered him with warmth, writing,

“Gone too soon, but your laughter will echo forever. Rest in peace, Satish Ji.”

Aamir Khan Productions paid tribute through its official handle, saying,

“You’ll always be remembered with a smile. Rest in peace, Satish Ji. – Team AKP.”

Sunny Deol recalled working with him, posting,

“Very sad to hear about Satish Shah. We’ve done a few films together — he was a fine actor and a beautiful human being. My deepest condolences to his family. Om Shanti.”

Filmmaker Farah Khan, who directed him in Main Hoon Na, wrote,

“Rest in peace, dearest Satish. You were such a joy to know and work with. I’ll miss you sending me memes and jokes every day.”

Actress Amrita Rao shared,

“Satish sir will truly be missed. Ishq Vishk, Main Hoon Na — working with him was always fun. He brought smiles on and off screen. His humour and energy will live forever in my memory. God bless you, Satish Ji.”

Karan Johar also paid his respects by sharing Satish Shah’s photo on Instagram Stories with the caption,

“Satish Shah (1951–2025).”

Filmmaker Kunal Kohli reminisced about their time together, writing,

“Can’t believe I’m writing this. We created Philips Top 10 together. Madhu and you became such good friends. Aise kaun jaata hai… Can’t believe I won’t hear you call me ‘Kunu baba’ again. Love you, Sats.”
