Mumbai: A year has passed since Kriti Sanon embarked on her new creative journey as a producer with Do Patti, the maiden venture of her production house, Blue Butterfly Films.
Marking the film’s first anniversary on Saturday, Kriti took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note. Expressing her gratitude and pride, she wrote, “It’s been a year of my first butterfly 🦋❤️ A film that I’ll always be proud of… my first production 🙏 @bluebutterflyfilmsofficial Happy 1 year @kanika.d @kathhapictures @beatnikbob5.”
Directed by debutant Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, Do Patti follows a police officer entangled in a complex case involving twin sisters — one of whom accuses her husband of trying to kill her. The film also marked Kriti’s first-ever double role, portraying the twins Saumya and Shailee.
The film stars Kajol alongside Kriti and marks television heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh’s Hindi film debut, with veteran actress Tanvi Azmi in a pivotal role. The technical team includes cinematographer Mart Ratassepp, and editors Naman Arora and Hemal Kothari.
On the work front, Kriti will next be seen as the female lead in the much-awaited sequel Cocktail 2. Recently, she shared glimpses from the Italy schedule on Instagram, captioning, “Ciao my Bellas. And just like that we’ve wrapped #TheSicilianChapter of #Cocktail2. Sunshine, rain, and ending with a beautiful rainbow. See you guys super soon!”
The pictures showed Kriti enjoying moments with her crew and director Homi Adajania.
Up ahead, Kriti is set to share the screen with Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in an upcoming film. She will also star opposite Dhanush for the first time in Aanand L. Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein.
