Poonch: Security Forces Launch Search Operation After Suspicious Movement Reported
Jammu: Security forces on Wednesday launched a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district after reports of suspicious movement along the border areas, officials said.
The operation, involving the Special Operations Group (SOG), Army, and CRPF, was initiated in the Balakote-Mendhar sector following inputs about suspected individuals in the region, they added.
Authorities said the forces remain on high alert, and residents have been urged to report any unusual activity in their vicinity.
A day earlier, troops recovered a suspicious drone from the Sakhi Maidan border area in Mendhar, officials said.
