Mumbai: Actress Shehnaaz Gill visited the Golden Temple to seek blessings ahead of the release of her upcoming film “Ikk Kudi”, which she says is made especially for Punjab.
Speaking to reporters about her visit, Shehnaaz said, “I came here to seek God’s blessings before the release of our film. I pray that it becomes a success.”
Shot in Chandigarh, Ikk Kudi was initially slated for release on September 19 but was postponed to October 31.
Explaining the change, Shehnaaz shared, “Yes, we shifted the release to October 31. I want everyone to watch this film — it’s made especially for Punjab. If Punjabis don’t watch it, it won’t be fun!”
She added, “The film is titled Ikk Kudi, releasing on October 31. I hope you all love it — we’ve made a very good film.”
Marking Shehnaaz’s debut as a producer, Ikk Kudi narrates the story of a young woman’s struggle to find her ideal partner. Directed and written by Amarjit Singh Saron, the film will hit theatres on October 31.
The film’s earlier release was delayed due to the Punjab floods, about which Shehnaaz said, “I helped as much as I could. The situation in Punjab was very bad.”
The Bigg Boss 13 fame actress also spoke about her brother Shehbaz, who is currently participating in Bigg Boss 19.
Expressing her pride, she said, “I’m feeling very happy. I want all Punjabis and everyone watching Bigg Boss across India to support Shehbaz. He’s doing really well — it was his dream to be on that show.”
