Samba/Jammu: A Special Police Officer (SPO) was killed after being run over by a speeding truck on the Jammu-Pathankot highway in Samba district, police said on Sunday.
According to officials, SPO Rahul Singh was on duty at a checkpoint in the Vijaypur area when the incident occurred around midnight on Saturday. He died on the spot.
Police said the truck involved in the accident has been seized, and both the driver and his helper have been arrested.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
